I just ran across this story over at Fox News Ok, A 15yo kid somewhere around Los Angeles was playing cops and robbers, somebody reports him for riding a bicycle and brandishing a weapon. The cops show up and tell the kid to drop the weapon and he points it at them. So one of the cops shoots the kid in the "upper torso", and the kid goes to the hospital and seems to be making a full recovery. What bothers me about the whole situation is not the cops shooting the kid, afterall he did point a weapon at the cops. It's the whole cops got a report thing. Lets take a deeper look at this whole situation. A 15 yo kid was playing cops and robbers?
Somebody call this in to the cops, why?
It has been a long time since our kids have been able to play in the street the same way that many of us used to do when we were growing up. It's time to wake up and put an end to this paranoia that Bush created. In my opinion the person that did the calling of the cops should be help responsible. Add your comment |
